A week of posts for a pub
Seven posts for a pub, one a day, with the photo to take, the caption and why it works. Copy them as they are, or let Loudwell write a week like this from your own photos, in your voice.
You've got the fire, the regulars and the quiz on Tuesdays, but the people who moved in down the road last year still drive to the chain place. A week like this shows them what a night with you actually feels like.
The week
-
Monday · Instagram · Photo
Shoot: The bar before opening: chairs down, the pumps clean, the light coming through the window.
Quiet before the doors open. Fire's lit, the new guest ale is on. See you from 12.
Why it works: A calm, empty pub looks inviting in a way a busy one can't, and it tells people what's on today.
-
Tuesday · TikTok · Video
Shoot: Ten seconds of a pint being pulled properly, from the first pull to the settle.
Patience is the main ingredient. Guest ale this week is a pale from a brewery up the road.
Why it works: A well-poured pint is something everyone watches to the end, and naming the local brewery is a bit of community in one line.
-
Wednesday · Instagram · Carousel
Shoot: Three photos: the quiz sheet, a team mid-argument (ask first), the winners with the prize.
Tuesday quiz. Free to enter, £1 a head goes in the pot, winners take the lot. Teams of up to six.
Why it works: Quiz posts reach the friend who's always looking for something to do midweek, and clear details remove the 'how does it work?' question.
-
Thursday · Instagram · Photo
Shoot: A regular at their usual spot at the bar (ask first), first name only.
Ray's sat on that stool every Thursday since before we took over. He knows more about this place than we do.
Why it works: Regulars are the soul of a pub, and showing them tells newcomers it's a friendly place to be.
-
Friday · TikTok · Video
Shoot: The kitchen sending out the Friday fish and chips, a few plates on the pass.
Friday fish, beer batter, chips done twice. Kitchen's open till 9. Book if you're more than four.
Why it works: Food on the pass is mouth-watering, and the booking line is practical, which people trust.
-
Saturday · Instagram · Reel
Shoot: The room on a Saturday night, from the corner: the noise, the fire, ten seconds.
Saturday nights look like this. Live music from 8, no cover charge.
Why it works: Showing the atmosphere answers the real question: is it going to be fun in there tonight?
-
Sunday · Instagram · Photo
Shoot: The Sunday roast on a plate by the window, with a pint next to it.
Roasts from 12 till they're gone. Beef, pork or the nut roast. Booking's a good idea.
Why it works: Sunday roast is the most searched-for pub meal there is, and a plain, honest photo sells it better than a styled one.
What to shoot this week
- The pub empty before opening and full at its best: the contrast is the story.
- Pints being poured, food leaving the kitchen, the fire being lit.
- What's on: quiz sheets, the band setting up, the guest ale pump clip.
- Regulars and staff, always with permission.

Questions
What should a pub post on social media?
What's on and what it feels like: the quiz, the band, the roast, the fire. People choose a pub on atmosphere, so show the room, not just the menu.
Which platform is best for a local pub?
Instagram and Facebook reach people nearby, and TikTok can reach new people with short videos of pints, food and nights out. One post a day is plenty.
Can I post about drink offers?
You can, but keep it responsible: talk about the beer and the night, not about drinking lots. Show food, company and atmosphere alongside the drinks.
Can Loudwell write a week like this for me?
Yes. Loudwell is a Mac app that plans your week from the photos and clips you already have and writes each caption in your voice. Nothing goes out without your yes on your phone. Solo is £4.99 a month, with 7 days free and no card; your AI provider bills you separately, usually £2 to £4 a month.
