A week of posts for a tutor

Seven posts for a tutor, one a day, with the photo to take, the caption and why it works. Copy them as they are, or let Loudwell write a week like this from your own photos, in your voice.

Parents find tutors by word of mouth and quick searches, and they're looking for someone patient, qualified and good with their child. A week like this shows how you teach, without posting any child's work or face.

The week

  1. Monday · Instagram · Photo

Shoot: Your desk set up for an afternoon session: worksheets, pencils, a whiteboard.

Ready for Monday. Year 6 maths, then GCSE English. Tea for me, squash for them.

Why it works: A calm, organised desk shows you take it seriously, and naming the subjects tells parents what you teach.

  2. Tuesday · TikTok · Video

Shoot: Thirty seconds on the whiteboard explaining one tricky idea simply.

Fractions that students get stuck on: here's the way I explain it.

Why it works: Showing your teaching is the most convincing thing you can post, and it's useful to students too.

  3. Wednesday · Instagram · Carousel

Shoot: Three plain slides: how you run a first session, what parents get afterwards, how often to book.

First session is free and we'll spend it finding where your child is. You'll get a short note afterwards on what we'll work on.

Why it works: Clear expectations help parents choose, and a free first session lowers the barrier.

  4. Thursday · Instagram · Photo

Shoot: A thank-you card or message from a parent, names covered (ask first).

A lovely note from a parent after mocks. Their daughter did the hard work, I just helped.

Why it works: Parent thanks are the best proof, and giving credit to the student shows the right attitude.

  5. Friday · TikTok · Video

Shoot: A quick revision tip filmed to camera.

Revision tip I give everyone: test yourself, don't just reread your notes. Here's how.

Why it works: General study tips reach students and parents, and they show your expertise.

  6. Saturday · Instagram · Photo

Shoot: Your books and resources on the shelf, organised by subject.

The books I use for 11+ prep. Happy to recommend a few if you're starting at home.

Why it works: Recommending resources shows you're generous with knowledge and builds trust with parents.

  7. Sunday · Instagram · Photo

Shoot: Your diary or a simple graphic with prices and slots.

Sessions £35 an hour, online or at my home in town. Two after-school slots free from January.

Why it works: Clear prices and availability save parents a message.

Questions

What should a tutor post on social media?

Short explanations, study tips and how your sessions work. Parents want to see how you teach and whether their child will feel at ease.

Can I post students' results or work?

Only with a parent's written permission, and even then think carefully. Most tutors keep children out of posts entirely and share parents' thanks with names covered.

Can Loudwell write a week like this for me?

Yes. Loudwell is a Mac app that plans your week from the photos and clips you already have and writes each caption in your voice. Nothing goes out without your yes on your phone. Solo is £4.99 a month, with 7 days free and no card; your AI provider bills you separately, usually £2 to £4 a month.
