A week of posts for a personal trainer

Seven posts for a personal trainer, one a day, with the photo to take, the caption and why it works. Copy them as they are, or let Loudwell write a week like this from your own photos, in your voice.

You're in the gym at 6am and again at 7pm, and the hours between go on programmes, messages and invoices. People pick a trainer they feel they already know. A week like this lets them see how you coach before they ever book a session.

The week

  1. Monday · Instagram · Photo

Shoot: Your clipboard and a client's programme on the bench, first session of the week.

Monday plans for six clients. Nobody does the same session, because nobody has the same week.

Why it works: Showing the planning side makes you look like a coach, not just someone shouting reps.

  2. Tuesday · TikTok · Video

Shoot: Fifteen seconds of one exercise done well, then one common mistake, side on.

Squat depth: hips just below knees if you can, but stop where your back starts to round. Left is fine, right is what I see most.

Why it works: A clear form tip gets saved and shared, and it shows you know what you're doing.

  3. Wednesday · Instagram · Carousel

Shoot: Four slides of a simple 20-minute home session, one exercise per photo.

Twenty minutes, no kit. Four moves, three rounds. Save it for the days you can't get to the gym.

Why it works: Useful free sessions get saved, and people who save your work book you later.

  4. Thursday · Instagram · Photo

Shoot: A client mid-session, laughing between sets (ask first).

Sam started in March and couldn't do a press-up. This morning he did 12 and still had time to complain about it.

Why it works: A real story with a small number is believable, where big promises aren't.

  5. Friday · LinkedIn · Post

Shoot: A photo of the empty gym at 6am with your first coffee.

Most of my clients work desk jobs and train before 8. If your team is asking about lunchtime sessions, I've two slots free on weekdays.

Why it works: LinkedIn reaches the office workers and managers who buy blocks of sessions.

  6. Saturday · TikTok · Video

Shoot: Ten seconds of the gym on Saturday morning: weights, music, someone finishing a set (ask first).

Saturday mornings are for the long sessions. Coffee after.

Why it works: Energy and atmosphere make people imagine themselves there.

  7. Sunday · Instagram · Photo

Shoot: Your trainers and water bottle by the door at the end of the week.

That's the week. Two new client spaces from December, message me for a first chat.

Why it works: A calm sign-off with one clear next step turns followers into enquiries.

What to shoot this week

  • Form tips: the right way and the common mistake, filmed from the side.
  • The planning: programmes, notes, the board. It shows the thinking behind the sessions.
  • Short home sessions people can save and use.
  • Clients training, with their permission, and only the moments they're happy to share.

Questions

How often should a personal trainer post?

Three to five posts a week is enough. Make each one useful, a tip, a session or a real client moment, rather than posting for the sake of it.

Which platform is best for a personal trainer?

Instagram and TikTok for form tips and sessions that reach new people locally. LinkedIn is worth it if you train office workers or offer sessions to companies.

Should a personal trainer post before and after photos?

Only with clear permission, and it's often better not to. Strength numbers, consistency and how clients describe their own progress are more honest, and they don't promise results you can't guarantee.

Can Loudwell write a week like this for me?

Yes. Loudwell is a Mac app that plans your week from the photos and clips you already have and writes each caption in your voice. Nothing goes out without your yes on your phone. Solo is £4.99 a month, with 7 days free and no card; your AI provider bills you separately, usually £2 to £4 a month.
